• Dajia Jenn Lann Temple

  • Gaomei Wetland

    Meidi Street, Qingshui District, Taichung City, Taiwan 436 .

    Gaomei Wetland located on the south of the mouth of Dajia River is a land mixed with both sand and soil textures and comes in 1,500 acres. That explains why it has complicated yet rich wetland ecology and possesses the largest group of Bolboschoenus planieulmis in Taiwan. Due to diverse geographical features, the species of its ecology is quite abundant. Every year around fall and winter, large flocks of migrating birds would come here for either short or long stay over the winter, serving as the best spot for bird-watching.

  • Dajia Tiezhenshan Scenic Area

    Yongshin Park and Zheng Chenggong Statue are both renowned attractions in Dajia Tiezhenshan Scenic Area. Tiezhenshan used to be a military base. The demissioned tanks and aircrafts on display in front of the Tiezhenshan Soldiers’ Shrine are major tourist attractions as well.
    The scenic area encompasses hiking trails, BBQ & camping area, tourist center, etc. The area offers different sceneries as cheery blossom blooms in spring, and tung flower blossom blooms in summer. When the night falls, the park is a great night view spot that offers a clear view of the sparkling Dajia and Waipu at night. The hiking trail beginning at Chenggong Road is especially great for star-gazing

  • Daan Coastal Tourist Center

    Daan Coastal Tourist Center is located in Daan Beach, a leveled and spacious sand beach. The nutrient-rich intertidal zone nurtures an abundance of creatures including soldier crabs, Balanidaes, egrets and the only mangrove forest in Taichung.
    Daan Coast Tourist Center is a family-friendly facility that has an indoor sand pit, shower facilities, kiddie pool and outdoor swimming pool. Since 2013, it is also open for surfing and kitesurfing. Visitors to Taichung can enjoy surfing and some beach activity here.
